While walking through the markets of Dongmyo, I passed this small shop that was absolutely packed with camera, a bonanza of detail. Inside was an older couple running the shop. I had never painted a couple before.

I asked the gentleman to work at his desk and asked his wife to sit next to him giving him a hug. She was so full of energy. Their connection created an incredibly warm painting full of emotion. It is one of my favorites. I like how the brightest color of the painting is centered on their face, framed by a dark background.
