Every day around Tapgol Park, a community of old men get together and play Janggi, an Asian version of chess. The district office sets up all the tables and boards for the guys to play. These boys were actually very difficult to photograph. They were so concentrated on their game that no one wanted to stop and listen to my story.

  • The guy in the foreground was a sympathetic ear, letting me stand there for a little with my camera watching them play. When I returned with a print of the painting, I was hoping the guys would be excited to see their club captured in oil. I worked very hard on that painting actually. Once again, the gentlemen cared far more about their game to notice. It’s a good painting though!

  • Dream it.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.
