The Reggae Corner

The Reggae Corner is a bit of a crossroads in Patong Beach, Phuket. It sits on the corner of Patong City Market next to the street food and taxi drivers. This became the starting point of building a network in Patong, meeting all the locals on the block and the tourists who pass through the bar.

I didn't expect to do a twenty person oil painting but sometimes these things just happen. I'm always ready for a challenge. I said to the boss of the Reggae Bar that I wanted to make something ambitious and gave him the dimensions of the painting. A few days later, he had the frame built and a massive roll of primed canvas delivered. 2 weeks later the painting was ready.
